Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience. The posted range is intended to provide a general estimate and does not guarantee a specific rate of pay.
Primary Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Management of Assigned Portfolios
- Shall maintain portfolios to the expected standards, including addressing all maturing loans, completing annual reviews, addressing all documentation and financial reporting exceptions.
- Customer Service
- Delivers consistently superior service to customers. This includes responding to all requests quickly, meeting with customers as it relates to the management of the loan portfolio and acting as a liaison for customers to other Bank divisions.
- Risk Management and Underwriting
- Works closely with the customer, commercial lender, credit department and administrative staff in handling customer requests.
- Analyzes loan applicants to determine feasibility of granting loan. Work with the Commercial Lender to negotiates terms, prepare opportunity memos, prepares loan proposal, underwrites, and obtains approval; all while conferring with EVP SLO / Team Leader / Loan Officer and the credit department.
- Works with credit on loan presentation, clearly identifies credit risks and any policy exceptions..
- Works with the Commercial Lender to assist with consummating properly approved loans by securing all necessary notes, guarantees, security and mortgage agreements, and related loan documents.
- Assumes responsibility with and under the direction of the EVP SLO / Team Leader for the management of loan and deposit relationships.
- Collects required financial information and maintains comprehensive and current credit files and comments.
- Maintains acceptable asset quality performance levels according to Bank’s standards, including loan delinquency, and line renewal and loan maturities.
- Teamwork, Community Activities, Management
- Foster a sense of teamwork and mutual support within the bank, to accomplish the bank’s goals.
- Be active in community organizations as a Bank representative.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or related field
- A minimum of two years’ experience in commercial lending previously, preferably involving credit training
- Strong understanding of Business Banking loans
- Strong proven financial, analytical, and mathematical skills
- Excellent credit skills in underwriting, financial modeling, valuations and adherence to policy
- Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- High-energy, result-oriented and works well in a team environment
- Strong organization skills
